3 – 7 years Red Court

Red sized courts are commonly developed for beginners to tennis. The red ball is larger than a yellow ball and doesn’t bounce as high (with the ball at just 25% compression), making it a breeze for even the youngest players to hit the ball comfortably. The courts and nets used in the Red stage are much smaller and easier for kids to move around.
Most children aged 10 and under will have trouble covering a full-sized tennis court, resulting in shorter rallies and poor technique. By reducing the size of the tennis court, children are able to develop more realistic footwork patterns, better technique and experience rallies, making learning tennis more fun and achievable.

8 – 12 years Green Court

Even advance players face a difficult time on the larger court. Playing forward, coming to the net, using the serve as a weapon – it all becomes a lot more difficult. Emphasis is on advanced court positioning, taking the ball on the rise and putting enough weight transfer into shots.

With new skills & success, see your child grow within the training and squad structure.

The Green Ball stage is a key checkpoint in a players development.
It encompasses a broad range of skills that young players will need in order to compete in official competitions and tournaments. Lesson strategies will begin to shift towards tactics and patterns of play in order to ready players for things to come.
